Inside the individual title race
Odyssey Sims led a deep field into the final week, with AU points decided by team wins, quarter wins and individual play.
Athletes Unlimited does not crown a team champion. The season champion is the athlete who accumulates the most AU points, and those points come from three places: winning the game, winning individual quarters, and producing statistically inside them.
Odyssey Sims carried the lead into the final week on the strength of 24.8 points and 6.3 assists per game. The scoring was the headline, but the quarter-win bonuses — awarded to every athlete on the winning side of a quarter — were what kept the margin steady.
Aneesah Morrow stayed within range with the season's most consistent rebounding profile at 10.8 per game, and Tina Charles anchored the interior with a 20.9 / 9.6 line that repeatedly swung quarters.
The format is unforgiving for anyone who has a quiet week: rosters reshuffle every seven days, so an athlete can win the draft on Monday and face her former teammates on Wednesday.
